Baby Not Sleeping Longer Than 45 Minutes. If not try at least a half an hour to see if you can get her back to sleep. Some take two long naps of an hour or more a day while others prefer three shorter naps of about 45 minutes.
A 6-month sleep regression is an unexpected interruption in your babys usual slumber schedule. Teaching a baby to connect nap sleep cycles is probably the most difficult type of sleep issue to tackle. A lot can depend on when you put your baby down for her nap.
Granted this will literally be impossible to accomplish for most babies before 4 to 6 weeks.
But if your baby regularly wakes after 20 minutes or 30 minutes you may need to take a few steps to help her to get the daytime rest she needs. Yes for some a later bedtime works but naturally most babies are going to go to bed from 6 pm to 8 pm most between 6 and 7 pm about 11 to 12 hours before their wakeup. For example after her regular nighttime routine bath nursing or a bottle a book or song she may tuck in nicely but then a few hours later shell suddenly start to fuss for no apparent reason. The amount of sleep your baby needs varies depending on their age.
